For the fifth consecutive year, the holiday forecast is icy thanks to the return of an outdoor ice rink in downtown Enid. Holidays on Ice in Downtown Enid, presented by Main Street Enid, will be located in the parking lot between the Stride Bank Center and the art installation Under Her Wing was the Universe. The 2024 season for this real ice (not synthetic) rink opens November 29 and will run through January 4. Downtown Enid

The BAT (Big Adventure Train) Express is a 1985 5-ton Army truck covered in over 4,000 lights. Tours will go all over downtown Enid. Cost is $5 per person and the truck holds up to 20 people. The Mini BAT Express is an 80-foot long barrel train covered in over 2,000 lights. No age limit to ride the Mini BAT. If you can fit, you can sit. Rides are $3 per person. Season dates Nov. 29-Dec. 1 Dec. 5-8 Dec. 12-15 Dec. 19-Jan. 5 Closed Christmas day (may open early and stay later on special event days)

The Mackie Planetarium on the NOC-Enid campus will present two showings of the Star of Bethlehem on December 5, at 6:30 pm and 8 pm. The show is titled: "The Heavens Declare the Glory of God: Psalm 19:1." Our visitors will see what the sky over Babylon looked like to the Wise Men 2,000 years ago. We will show how planetary orbits and some complex mathematics combined with the alignments of the stars alerted the Persians in Babylon to events that had been prophesized by Daniel 500 years before. Come enjoy the holidays with Leonardo’s! On the first three Friday evenings in December (6th, 13th, & 20th) Leonardo’s magical castle Adventure Quest will be lit up and decorated for the season. Guests will have the opportunity to meet and take a picture with Santa, play with Santa’s elves, make a holiday craft, decorate a Christmas cookie, and enjoy a delicious cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows.
