It’s someone who explores, seeks adventure, captures the fun things to do in Enid and shares it with the rest of us. It’s someone who ultimately wants to go out and explore for themselves.

Allison was born and raised just north of here, where you are just far enough out to call it “Going to Town.” Both of her parents are now retired but continue to live in the house they raised their family; her mother dedicated over 30 years to special education teaching, while her father ran a family business in Enid. Allison has two older brothers (Jason and Jeremy) who are married and reside in Dallas, and she proudly answers to Aunt Al to three nieces and one nephew.

After graduating from Kremlin-Hillsdale in 2006, Allison attended Oklahoma State University. In 2010, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Promotion with a Concentration in Exercise Science. She then returned back to Enid to work in the medical clinic at Vance Air Force Base before embarking on a new path in 2012 by enrolling in the Physical Therapist Assistant program in Tulsa. In 2014, Allison obtained licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant through the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure.

Since March of 2013, Allison has worked at Northwest Oklahoma Orthopedic Clinic working alongside some of the best doctors, therapists, staff, and patients Enid and the surrounding area has to offer. In addition to their professional pursuits, she is an active member of various local organizations, serving as a board member for the Enid YWCA, Kremlin-Hillsdale Academic Enrichment Foundation, and RSVP (Retired Seniors Volunteer Program) of Enid. Her commitment to community and leadership was recognized with the 2022 Enid Young Professionals 10 < 40 Award, and she is a proud graduate of Leadership Greater Enid Class XXXI.

Continuing her education, Allison is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management through Southeastern Oklahoma State University, with an expected completion date in February 2024.

When not working or studying, Allison can often be found spending quality time with her beloved lab named Annie. She has a deep-rooted love and appreciation for the outdoors, whether it’s hunting, fishing, or gathering around firepits with friends, enjoying good food and beverages. She considers herself “up for almost anything” whether it is to hop in the car with a friend for a sodie and a cash wish, go for a drive with the music up and windows down, or spontaneous road trips for a concert or even if it’s just to explore a new restaurant.

Cathy believes that you’re never too old to pursue your passions. Growing up as the daughter of an Air Force LtCol Chaplin stationed at VAFB, Cathy’s love for exploration and adventure was instilled in her from a young age. She graduated from Enid High School, where she was actively involved in music, track, and theater, even taking on the lead role in their HS musical, “The Music Man.”

Afterward, Cathy moved to Iceland, where she continued her education and pursued her love for singing. Eventually, she returned to the United States, attending Oklahoma State University and studying music under Sonny VanEaton and Brad Nulph. It was during her time at OSU that she reconnected with her future husband, Brad Nulph, and later settled in Enid, Oklahoma.

She is a proud mother of three grown children, Nick, Holly, and Brock, and a loving grandmother to eight grandchildren. Throughout her life, she has remained deeply involved in the Enid community, serving as a former member of JWL and actively participating in local events. As an independent contractor, she has collaborated with Eagle Marketing and the Stride Bank Center for numerous projects, honing her skills in promotions and sales over 15 years.

Currently, Cathy serves as the Marketing and PR Coordinator at The Commons, where she passionately promotes the venue and its offerings. In addition to her professional pursuits, Cathy’s lifelong love for music has been a constant companion. She started singing in church at the age of three and continues to perform, having opened for Terri Clark alongside her good friend Kelly Killam and performed with renowned artists like Doc Bryant and Clarence Clemons of the E Street Band.

For over a decade, Cathy has been playing with her talented friends Dave Roberts, Kegan Tuohy, and Kelly Killam in various music groups, including the Doc Bryant Jazz Band, Catfink, The Bringing Back Band, and their current endeavor, Dually Noted. Specializing in 70’s and 80’s cover songs, their performances are always filled with energy and joy. They perform at corporate gigs, private parties, and various events, recently earning the Readers Choice Most Popular Local Band award.

Outside of her professional and musical pursuits, Cathy stays involved in the community through her grandchildren’s dance and sports activities, as well as her husband’s involvement with Ambucs. She cherishes Enid as a wonderful community that has played a significant role in her life and continues to inspire her.

Katy Baker

Hey there!  I’m happy to be on a team of travel advocates for Enid. I am an Oklahoma native and grew up in Ada. I’ve currently lived in the Enid area for 24+ years.

My husband, Jeff and I have four kids who attend or have attended Kremlin-Hillsdale schools.

I am a former teacher, worked at the Case dealership in Kremlin and currently work with my husband, I’ve also been a social media influencer for several years now.  I thought it would be fun to venture out and promote our city (Enid) and the surrounding areas.

I hope to meet many new people and revisit old friends along my path. So, if you see me at a local event…please stop and say hi.

Excited for this opportunity of storytelling, whether through pictures, posts or articles.

About Enid

Since its exciting, unique beginning on that hot, dusty day in September, 1893, Enid has prided itself on its adventurous spirit. Just a two-hour drive or less from Oklahoma City, Tulsa and Wichita, Enid is conveniently located and is an ideal setting for that want-to-get-away feeling we all get.
