The purpose of this event is the old adage that you can’t really understand what someone has been through until you’ve “walked a mile in their shoes.”
We are challenging the men in our community to literally walk around the Courthouse Lawn in high heels to raise awareness of sexual assault, show unified support for survivors, and engage all in YWCA’s mission against abuse.

Check in will begin at 6 pm on the Courthouse Lawn. Red high heels will be provided at that time, as well as an event t-shirt if you register by Monday, April 24th.
Heels are encouraged, but not required to participate. Feel free to make your own signs to carry and dress creatively in your school, team, or business uniform/colors.
The walk will begin at 6:30 pm, with an Awards Ceremony to follow. Awards include “Best Strut,” “Best Legs,” and “Mr. Walk A Mile.” The event will also feature a Dessert Silent Auction.
All proceeds support YWCA’s life-saving programs for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.
