The City of Enid will have its annual Independence Day Holiday Celebration event at Meadowlake Park on will be rescheduled for Friday, July 10. The rain date is Saturday, July 11. The previous July 4 date was canceled due to potential thunderstorms. The Independence Day Holiday celebration will kick-off at 5 a.m. with the Fishing Derby. All fishing derby participants must register and check-in before going to their fishing post. Failure to register and comply by set rules will result in disqualification. At 8:30 pm, the Enid Symphony Orchestra will be performing at the Meadowlake Park North Pavilion under the direction of Douglas Newell, Artistic Director.
