Ready, set, go! On June 24 at noon, teams of up to 4 or 5 will compete to see who can complete their jigsaw puzzle first. We know that competitive puzzling is hard work so we will provide pizza and soda pop to all puzzle participants. Please let us know if you are coming by calling 580-234-6313 so we order enough pizza. We spend hundreds, even thousands, of hours a week engaging with a wide range of media sources. We all experience a near-constant barrage of incoming information. Combine that with the human brain’s reaction to stress or fear, and conditions are ripe for the spread of misinformation. In this course, you will learn from media and misinformation experts about the falsehoods, slander, prejudice, and bad ideas that fall under the umbrella terms of disinformation and misinformation.
