Step back in time and experience life on the Cherokee Strip during History Alive! in the Humphrey Heritage Village. On the first and third Saturday of each month, the historic buildings in the Village come alive with reenactors who are tending their shops, working their trades, or socializing at the Village Church. Visitors can learn about different skills and trades of the time, or file their own land claim in the Land Office. The Village will be Alive! from 11 am to 3 pm on the first and third Saturday of the month.

Join Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center for a fun day celebrating our agricultural heritage in the Cherokee Strip! Family Farm Day gives families the opportunity to participate in different hands-on activities. Come shell and grind corn, churn butter, decorate pumpkins, and MUCH MORE! These are just a few of the many activities' families will experience at the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center’s annual Family Farm Day event that celebrates the proud farming heritage that built Northwest Oklahoma!

Pictures on the Plaza: An Evening Showing of Meet Me in St. Louis

On the evening of Saturday, September 14, the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center will show the 1944 classic “Meet Me in St. Louis,” featuring Judy Garland on the plaza grounds in a “Pictures on the Plaza” event. Cost of admission is $7 for guests and free for children five and under. Guests are encouraged to bring their own seating. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. No outside food or drink is permitted. Village Sounds, a “Museum After Dark” experience at the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center, is a chance to explore our story in Oklahoma from the perspective of different songwriters from our state.
