The Ranger is a bronze statue of a bucking horse and rider created by H Holden. This statue is present at Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s campuses in Alva, Enid, and Woodward. The statue was a gift to Northwestern from Harold Hamm and his former wife, Sue Ann. Artist Harold Holden said, “The structure will symbolize the qualities of the cowboy: honesty, hard work and courage.” The Ranger, located on the NWOSU-Enid campus, was unveiled February 29, 2008.
