Shred City, the mural overlooking the Jerry Allen Memorial Skate Park, was a partnership between the City of Enid and the Public Arts Commission of Enid (PACE). It debuted on October 21, 2021 by Los Angeles-area artist Kiptoe, whose design was chosen by PACE over 18 other submissions.
The 2,700 sq. ft. mural covers two adjoining buildings, an 84-foot long corrugated metal building to the south and a 69-foot brick building to the north. Kiptoe’s design features skateboarders on the right and BMX and scooters on the left. The buildings are owned by Luckinbill, Inc. The Jerry Allen Memorial Skate Park opened in December, 2020.
Kiptoe’s July 2022 YouTube video covers the creation of this mural from start to finish.
