The Play Takes Flight mural at Universal Management & Maintenance is about play leading to discovery, innovation, and breakthroughs. The Covid-19 pandemic became a local reality while painting this mural. With so many parents taking the role of teacher during that confusing time, this mural was a reminder of how much can be learned from a simple piece of paper.
You can learn about lift and aerodynamics by playing with something nearly free. In the mural, the paper airplane symbolically transforms into a T-38, as a nod to Vance Air Force Base in Enid.
