Enid Amateur Radio Club presents Enid Hamfest, on Saturday, September 14 from 8 am-3 pm at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center. Amateur Radio (ham radio) is a popular hobby and service that brings people, electronics and communication together. People use ham radio to talk across town, around the world, or even into space, all without the Internet or cell phones. It's fun, social, educational, and can be a lifeline during times of need. Learn more about the world of ham radio, and perhaps even apply to become a licensed amateur radio operator. Admission is $10 at the door.

This will be our first year transitioning to Kickball and Cornhole. We will be looking for teams, gift baskets, and other donations for raffles. All proceeds will go to a person in our community currently battling cancer. This will be our 13th year holding this event. This event was moved from its original date of August 3. Join the City of Enid Parks and Recreation department at Champlin Pool for the annual Doggie Dip from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. This popular event allows dogs to enjoy the hot sun and make a splash! Your dog can relax, unwind and have a good time as they mingle with local dogs. All Dogs are allowed in the pool and the event is completely free. 400 W. Cherokee.

Featuring Dr. Karen Walwyn, named the first African-American female Steinway Artist as a concert pianist/composer and a Florence Price scholar. Featuring music by all women composers including Lili Boulanger, Florence Price, and Vítězslava Kaprálová.
