On Friday, November 14, at 6 p.m., the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center is pleased to host a talk with Dr. Kalenda Eaton of the University of Oklahoma. Eaton will present “Tiny Boxes and Vast Legacies: Mapping the African American Homesteading Story in Oklahoma Territory.” The talk will be held at the Village Church in the Humphrey Heritage Village. Step back in time and experience life on the Cherokee Strip during History Alive! in the Humphrey Heritage Village. On the first and third Saturday of each month, the historic buildings in the Village come alive with reenactors who are tending their shops, working their trades, or socializing at the Village Church. Visitors can learn about different skills and trades of the time, or file their own land claim in the Land Office. The Village will be Alive! from 11 am to 3 pm on the first and third Saturday of the month.

Sensory-Friendly Family Night

Enid Axe is now offering a Sensory Friendly night from 5pm-8pm on the Third Monday of each month!! This will be a reoccurring monthly event, just like Leonardos and Spirit Express. Families with loved ones that require extra sensory care can enjoy a night of discounted food and axe throwing!
