The National Register of Historic Places is a catalog of American culture — the tangible elements of our archaeology, our history, and our architecture. The register records the sites, buildings, districts, structures and objects which, through their often imposing presence, keep us in touch with the achievements of our past.

It is essentially a continuing inventory which identifies both sites and the material remains of these cultural developments that have molded our nation from its prehistory to its present.

As of November 8, 2019, 32 locations in Garfield County – 26 of those in Enid – are listed on the National Register of Historic Places (listing includes year built and date listed on National Register)
