Hayes Elementary School Mural

This metal mural was installed in 2023 just before the beginning of the school year. It was created by Kelly and Ty Tompkins of Hive Appeal, along with Wesley Spencer of SpenCo Metal Works. The mural honors the life of Titus Kennedy, a student at Hayes who died suddenly in 2022 at the age of 5. Musical Trio on the Trail

Musical Trio on the Trail consists of three animals native to Oklahoma, (coyote, armadillo, and racoon) holding steel drums.  The piece is meant to be interactive and the public can test their drumming skills by playing the drums held by the animals. “Musical Trio on the Trail” is located approximately 250 yards east of the Cleveland Trailhead on the Enid Trail, on the northeast corner of Hayes St. between Seneca and Huron. This mural by Tox Murillo was completed in May 2023. The prohibition theme mirrors the decor inside the bar. It is located on the back side of the bar in the alley.

Woodring Historic Mural was dedicated on Memorial Day, 2023. The mural by Enid artist Tox Murillo, is painted on the hangar housing the A-26 Lady Liberty, the only flying invader left in the nation. It is located next to the ML Becker Learning Center and across the street from Oklahoma’s official Vietnam War Memorial. The mural depicts: Charles Lindbergh, Amelia Earhart and Wiley Post were frequent flyers into Enid Air Park, Oklahoma’s first official municipally bonded airport.
